Terry Fox and Me by Mary Beth Leatherdale & Milan Pavlovic
I have a huge bias when it comes to Terry Fox. I am an all in, all the time, big time Terry Fox fan. Now that I live and am raising my family in BC, I have a whole new love and softness for him. He's the first Hero my kids learnt about.
This book is lovingly and accurately written from the perspective of Terry's friend Doug. Like so many things about Terry, this story reaches farther than the physical challenges that Terry endured - but shows us again that his friendship and legacy of Hope are as relevant today as they were 40 years ago. This book celebrates the 40th year of the Marathon of Hope, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you.
