Robin Mitchell Cranfield is a graphic designer, illustrator, and writer. Inspired by design-educators like Bruno Munari, Kenya Hara, and Iela Mari, she is a Lecturer in the Design + Dynamic Media and Graduate Studies faculties at Emily Carr University and is a contributor to the Bloomsbury Design Library.

In October 2026, Robin’s sixth book for children, Carrots Make Me Suspicious, will be available from Greystone Books. Her previous books include Wings, Waves, and Webs: Patterns in Nature and the Windy books and stop-motion animated story apps.

Robin’s work has been recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the Alcuin Awards, Kidscreen (iKids) awards, and by Apple (Editor’s Choice) and BolognaRagazzi.

She holds a BDes from Emily Carr University and an MA in English, specializing in Print Culture, from Simon Fraser University.
