Kirsten Pendreigh is a children’s author and poet from Vancouver, BC. Her books celebrate our early instincts to care for the plants and creatures that share our planet. She is the author of Luna’s Green Pet, illustrated by Carmen Mok. Kirsten’s poems can be found in Canadian literary magazines and in Best Canadian Poetry 2021. Formerly a CBC and NPR journalist, Kirsten also writes non-fiction for children.

Carmen Mok is an award-winning illustrator with prior experience in product design, hand-lettering and graphic design. After studying studio art at University of Waterloo and design at Sheridan College, she decided to dedicate herself to children’s illustration. She is the illustrator of Grandmother’s Visit, written by Betty Quan, Waiting for Sophie, written by Sarah Ellis, and Luna's Green Pet written by Kirsten Pendreigh. Carmen lives in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
