Thanks Blanket is a heartwarming story about childhood, life's transitions, and the enduring power of gratitude.

Focusing on the universal bond with a cherished blanket, it reads like a letter to an old friend, reflecting on the nostalgia of life shared together and the comfort provided. At its core, the book celebrates the quiet, often overlooked sources of comfort in our lives, whether living or inanimate.

Christopher Vanderkooy live's in East Vancouver British Columbia. He has one wife, one cat, and two blankets. One blanket is purple and fuzzy, the other blanket is big and blue. He loves music, his friends, and making music with his friends. He spends a lot of time doing that while playing guitar in the Juno nominated Canadian indie rock group, Peach Pit. The idea came for this book and a camping trip years ago, sleeping under the stars, with an exceptionally warm blanket (the big blue one) shielding him and his wife from the cold. This book is an ode to all the things that keep us warm when life gets a little chilly. 100% of the profits from this book will be donated to Crisis Centre BC.
