Sara O'Leary is a writer of books for both children and adults. She was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and now lives in Nova Scotia. She has an MFA from the University of British Columbia and has taught both screenwriting and writing for children at Concordia University in Montreal.

She has written a number of critically acclaimed books for children, including This is Sadie, which was adapted for the stage by New York City Children's Theater. Her most recent publications are The Little Books of the Little Brontës, A Kid is a Kid is a Kid, Gemma and the Giant Girl, and This is Ruby.

Her novel, The Ghost in the House was published by Doubleday Canada. She is also the author of a collection of short fiction, Comfort Me With Apples, and a collection of postcard stories, Wish You Were Here. She is also a former literary columnist for The Vancouver Sun and CBC Radio.

Julie Morstad is the author and illustrator of Today, How To and Time Is a Flower, which was a New York Times/New York Public Library Best Illustrated Children’s Book, winner of the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award and the Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize, and a finalist for a Governor General’s Literary Award, among other honors. She has illustrated many other beloved stories for children, including Kate DiCamillo’s The Puppets of Spelhorst. In 2018, she illustrated a stamp for Canada Post. Julie lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
