Just Keep Doing This.
Hello friends and families, how's everyone's summer going so far?
I wanted to share a really good moment in the shop with you. We all know that things are precarious and fragile as ever for small businesses - so each and everyday that we get it right, I'm pretty grateful. It is at the same time alotofworkforlittletonopay which can make a girl a little weary from time to time.
Not too long ago a client came through, hadn't been by in a while - and asked how things were going, which I always try to be honest about. "Good Enough" is often my response, as I'm so grateful to still be in business. I'm so grateful that each and every day in my shop - people say the nicest things. Things like "I love it here", "This is the cutest store", "I used to do classes here when I was small". I answered this client that things were okay, but still a bit of an uphill battle at times.
She was kind and I was honest, and as she left with a bag full of supplies and books - she turned to me and said, "Just keep doing this". It filled my heart.
It's good enough to try and keep going.
